I'm new to the program, and have entered initially locations onto an xl spreadsheet for download where I can now view my pins on a map. I'm a salesperson and I'd like to proceed with selecting various customer locations and then creating a driving route that will take me from location to location. It appears I can only plot a course from Point A to Point B? ie Start ande End

Can the program enable me to chart a course that takes me from Point A to B, C, D etc?

So I have 2 maps and I want to embed them on 2 different pages on our website (one is our members while the 2nd is a list of Veterinarians). But the code is the same and the visitor picks the map from the drop down. Is there any way to add to the code which map should be displayed? I'm thinking I might have to create a 2nd account for the 2nd map, but I'd prefer not to have to do that if there is another way.

Scale down your map pins

Scaling down the size of pins can be useful because for some people they look too big and out of place on the map. Scaling down the size will greatly improve the look of the map and could reproduce better prints. Specially when you have a lot of pins on the map. Give it a try and see the difference.

How to do it? When creating a new map select the size from the dropdown box, or if you already have a map click the "Edit Map" button (the one with the yellow pencil) from the map toolbar and select the pin size from the "Scale Down Pins to" dropdown box.

I currently load pins on my computer and then follow them on my iPhone. When I complete a pin location I save from red to green letting me know that I have completed the pin. The problem: Every time I save the change the map pulls way out to North America! I'm in New York City and only need this area of the map til I decide to zoom out. It's very time consuming.

Middle of the map is missing when I try to print it

Several users have asked us how to print the map using different size of paper.

We have told them; have you tried using the “Save as PDF” functionality?

They say yes, but not that simple. The problem is that after selecting the page size the user has to figure out what’s the dimensions of each page format. Not an easy task for sure.

We have made the process of printing in different size a lot easier. All you need is to select the page size and orientation from the dropdown boxes and click the “Convert” buttons.

This will save the map on PDF format that you can use for printing or add it to another PDF document.

The share a map dialog opens with a link that will point back to your map.

Share the resulting link by email or use any of the social buttons. The link will be conveniently embedded in the social sharing button.

I know maps can be shared, but I haven't been able to find the actual options for sharing. Is it just through a link in an email? Sending a screenshot image?

Hi, There used to be a little navigation tool that allowed you to zoom in and out of the maps. It's gone. Can we please have it back as it is very hard (hit and miss) to zoom in and out using an apple mouse.

Pinmaps.net uses Javascript; therefore 90% of the problems will be resolved when you clear your browser cache.

Logout from Pinmaps, clear cache, close browser, open browser again, login to Pinmaps. That should take care of the majority of the issues.

I created maps and shared them with my company, it was great for them to use on their phones. I password protected the maps and now they have to create an account to view them? it wont allow them to just put in the password, it forces them on the phone to create a brand new account, which most people will not do.

Is it possible to un-password protect my maps?

PDF of Map Size Change

I have created a map with 45 locations throughout the US and a small part of Canada. In viewing my map I can see all the points, however when I convert the map to pdf, it cuts off points on the far left coast and far right coast. If I zoom out and create the pdf, it is too far zoomed out and I lose the level of detail we can see. Is there a way to alter so that the pdf that is created is exactly what I see when I am working on my map on the site?

I am intersted in using this map program to map out our office locations for our company. If I am the administrator for the map and I share it with our staff and if I make an address correction or add/delete an office location as the administrator will the staff be able to see that change next timet he connect to the shared map or will I have to send out a new link to the map? Is there a way using pushpin maps to map out directions from one location to another and always have those pins stuck on the map?

I guess what I'm trying to say is I have clients in various areas around Charlotte. Sometimes I need to find out where one client is located in relation to another client to see if it's feasible for me to do both of those appointments in the same day. If one client is located further than the other, I don't want to go there. I do however want to be able to keep people located on the map and mark who the person is so if I get somebody else in that same location I'll be able to tell quickly at a glance whether or not I can see them in the same day.

I want the pins you always stay on the map so that when I enter a new person in that general vicinity, I will be a will to tell at a glance if they are close in proximity.

Does that make sense to anyone?

Hello,

I have a problem. After I logged in today, my pins are saved, but the map did not load. I can only see white page intead of map, also the list of the pins did not appear. They are all saved, I can see them in settings, but not on the list.

I use Google Chrome. The map loads properly on my iPad, also when I use IE7, but it is very slow.

Setting not reflected when logged out

I've updated my settings to not "enable map controls" because I want to hid street view from those who are using my map. These settings are then in effect for my map when I am logged in, but when I log out, I again see all the controls for my maps. Is there a way to update these setting for all users?
